Frequently Asked Questions
Sasquatch Herbs focuses on products that are geared towards high altitude living, rather than just providing traditional CBD products (which are perfectly fine, but not all products are the same, nor do they have the same effects on the body). Meaning, there’s some additional science behind everything we do (resiliency of the plant, potency, strain used, extraction method, growth & harvest location, etc.), and we rely upon the educational accomplishments we've acquired and our research to be able to ensure we provide the best product available for individuals that are living in higher elevation communities and accommodating the unique health needs of those areas. That’s what separates us from everyone else. That doesn’t mean our products are the best, it just means that our products are better suited to meet the unique needs of our customers.
It really comes down to maximizing the potential effects for an individual, enabling them to monitor & determine their own dosage, while also providing a product that is cost effective that can be used for several months if need be. Example: if a customer purchased one of the 6000mg bottles (2fl oz) and they only needed a 25mg dose per day (which is common), then that bottle will last them 8 months; so, it’s also extremely cost effective!
As cliché as this sounds, it varies per individual. That being said, common dosage recommendations are 2.5mg per kg of body weight per day (caveat: this is a maximum dose). However, I strongly caution against this dosage formula, because it’s using total body weight in the equation (rather than fat free mass / lean body mass), and if you’re consuming that amount of CBD daily, there are probably some underlying health conditions that need traditional medical treatment.
Based upon the research conducted by Sasquatch Herbs, we’ve determined the following equation is more appropriate to determine the maximum range of your daily needs for individuals who do not have any immunological, neurological or psychological diagnoses:
1 – 1.8mg / kg lean body mass (fat free mass) / day
Example: 250lb male with 20% body fat
Find lbs of body fat: 250 x .20 = 50lbs
Subtract bf from weight: 250 – 50 = 200lbs (lean body mass)
CBD per day: (200 ÷ 2.205) x 1= 91mg
CBD per day: (200 ÷ 2.205) x 1.8 = 163mg
For those individuals experiencing immunological, neurological, or psychological impairments / diagnoses, the daily maximum range would be:
2 – 3.5mg / kg lean body mass (fat free mass) / day
Example: 250lb male with 20% body fat
Find lbs of body fat: 250 x .20 = 50lbs
Subtract bf from weight: 250 – 50 = 200lbs (lean body mass)
CBD per day: (200 ÷ 2.205) x 2= 181mg
CBD per day: (200 ÷ 2.205) x 3.5 = 317mg
For some products, the answer is Yes. The restrictions are generally around smokable products or CBD that is created from higher THC based plants (you can only get these at dispensaries), and factors around the amount of CBD to THC (specific ratios).
However, all of the products sold by Sasquatch Herbs are hemp derived and do not have an age requirement for purchase or use.
It depends upon the type of CBD you take, but it's not a "definite yes".
Full Spectrum CBD - It is possible to test positive, because there is a minor amount of THC (<0.3%) in this product. Any products containing THC (no matter how small the amount) may result in a positive drug test.
Broad Spectrum CBD - No (because it doesn't contain any THC - 0.0%).
CBD Isolate - No (because it doesn't contain any THC - 0.0%).
